About US
Our Vision
To see communities rooted in Christ that glorify God and bless the world.
Our Mission
To connect people to Jesus and each other through the Truth of God’s Word.
The Model
We desire to pursue a model of church being family, like the branches of a family tree, equipping people to grow in their faith. We gather for worship on Sundays and facilitate Branch Home groups throughout the community on other days of the week.
Our Values
Our core values are to love God, love others, and make disciples. We show evidence of our values by living out these principles and we make disciples by inviting others to do the same:
-
Worship is an expression of gratitude for all that Jesus has done for our lives. Coming together to worship collectively is essential for the church community. We gather freely with grateful hearts to worship Jesus through singing, teaching, and reading of scripture.
“Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.” - Colossians 3:16
-
Prayer is our personal and collective connection with God. We pray to seek and know God’s heart and follow His will for the church and for our lives. God calls us to pray to praise Him, express our gratitude, repent of our sins, present our requests, and grow our trust in Him. We are deeply committed to praying in all we do, decide, and discern so that God’s will can be elevated over our own.
“Pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” - 1 Thes 5:17-19
-
God gives us Truth through the Bible. The Word of God is alive and active. We cherish God’s Word because it nourishes and instructs us for salvation, righteousness and daily living. We love God by obeying His Word, allowing it to transform our heart and mind, and sharing His Grace and Truth with the world.
“He (Jesus) replied, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.” – Luke 11:28
-
God calls us to freely give of the resources that have been given to us from the Holy Spirit. God’s Grace is generous and is abundant for the work that He calls us to do. When we live generously, we participate in supplying the needs of the Lord’s people, showing gratitude and thanksgiving to God.
“Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.” - 2 Corinthians 9:7-8
-
We are designed to be together. The church is the body of Christ and everyone has a part in it. We pursue a sense of church as family - seeking to include everyone, have equal concern for one another, being held accountable to one another, and encouraging one another to grow in our faith.
“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” Hebrews 10:24-25
-
We live out our faith and bless others when we joyfully meet the needs of those around us. We use our spiritual gifts to serve God & each other. We show love for others by sharing our time, talents, and resources. We glorify God when we care for the vulnerable, carry each other’s burdens, and serve one another humbly in love.
“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’” Matthew 25:40
-
We love others by sharing our faith and by helping them to grow in their knowledge and understanding of Jesus as Savior and Lord. We share the hope we have through an eternal life with Him. We look for those who do not yet believe and walk beside them, encouraging them toward a relationship with Jesus and understanding of His love.
“But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.” 1 Peter 3:15
-
Discipleship is learning to be and live like Jesus, and teaching others to do the same. We make disciples out of whom God puts right in front of us in our homes, families, friends, neighborhoods and workplaces. When we teach more people about the rhythm of loving God and loving others, we expand the Kingdom. As more people grow in their knowledge and understanding of Jesus more will be saved and experience the freedom found only in Him.
“To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:31-32
-
GATHER TO WORSHIP
“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” Hebrews 10:24-25
-
BUILD UP UNITY OF FAITH
“So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.” Ephesians 4:11-13
-
GO AND MAKE DISCIPLES
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20
